In such a case, it is more helpful to spray the corrective nutrient on the plant to solve the issue as soon as possible. If you use the soil feeding method, it will take longer to solve the problem, and this can incur more damage to your plants. Nevertheless, remember that foliar feeding is not meant to substitute soil feeding; instead, it should be used as a supplement in specific situations.
Can I carry out foliar spraying during flowering?
Foliar feeding is perfect for the veg phase and the first 1 or 2 weeks of the flowering phase. However, we recommend that you don’t continue with foliar feeding during the rest of the flowering phase because that could damage your buds and lead to an unsuccessful harvest.
What is the best time for foliar feeding?
The ideal time for foliar feeding is when the lights are off. If you spray with the grow lights on, the nutrients can dry up too quickly. Also, the leaves and stems are in their most absorptive form right after turning the lights off.
