A fully functioning ventilation system needs fans and blowers. In order to get rid of pathogens and odor, you should install intake and exhaust fans ensuring a healthy environment for your plants.

Importance of fans in the grow room

Simple ventilation systems come with intake and exhaust fans and they recycle air every 3 minutes. While this is good to start with, you can give your plants a much better environment by installing another fan to reduce hot and cold spots, regulate CO2 effectively, and bring the temperature inside the grow room down.

You can circulate air better using wall mount fans, floor and pedestal fans, and oscillating fans. You can also go for clip-on fans if you are working in limited space. You can choose our inline fans to couple with air-cooled reflectors or carbon filters.

How to calculate CFM for your grow room?

The formula to measure cubic feet per minute is pretty simple: length X height X width. For instance, a grow tent whose dimensions are 6’ X 8’ X 6’ will need a fan with CFM of 288 to regulate air in a minute. Ideally, it is better to have a fan size large than the required CFM.
