Are you looking to increase the moisture in your grow tent or room? Look no further! Here at Groindoor.com, we have a wide selection of humidifiers of all sizes. So, whether it’s a grow room or a grow tent, you’re bound to find a humidifier suited to your needs!

Humidity is an essential factor that you need to manage for a successful grow operation. Inadequate humidity levels can be detrimental to the growth of your plants. Before installing a humidifier, it’s necessary to know the prevalent humidity levels of your grow space. You can do this using a hygrometer.

Do I need a humidifier for my grow room?

If you’ve determined that your humidity levels are inadequate, you need to take immediate action. Signs of dehydration will become evident almost immediately. Firstly, your plant leaves will dry out. Then you will have to deal with a nutrient burn. Since your plants will be unable to absorb moisture through their leaves, they will begin absorbing extra nutrients through their roots from the soil.

A humidifier adds humidity and moisture to the atmosphere. A fan or blower ensures the subsequent circulation of moisture throughout your grow space.

What is the ideal humidity level for plants?

Ideal humidity levels differ for different stages of plant growth. Here are the ideal humidity levels for the three different stages.

  • Seedlings/clones: 75 - 85 °F (with an adequate light source), (70% relative humidity)
  • Vegetative growth: 70 - 85 °F, (40 - 60% relative humidity)
  • Flowering: 65 - 80 °F, (40 - 50% relative humidity)

Keep in mind that there is such a thing as excess humidity. Excess humidity can lead to mold and mildew for your plants. If your grow space has excess humidity, then you’ll need to install a dehumidifier.

Where should I keep the humidifier in my grow room?

Ideally, your humidifier should be placed near your fans or blowers. This way, you can ensure that the added moisture is circulated throughout your grow tent/room.

Is there any way to add humidity without buying a humidifier?

The level of humidity depends on the size of your grow operation. Smaller grow operations do not require that you buy a humidifier for adjusting your humidity levels. Depending on your humidity levels, you may just need to increase humidity slightly. There are a few ways in which you can do this. You can periodically use a spray bottle or install a water reservoir and place your plants near it. These methods aren't ideal, but you can resort to them if you do not have the necessary budget.

What is the ideal humidifier for your grow space?

Humidifiers come in two different categories:

Residential Humidifiers

As the name suggests, a residential humidifier is ideal if you’re running your grow operation from home. Here at Groindoor.com, we have residential humidifiers of Anden in a range of sizes. Their output ranges from 75 pints/day to 275 pints/day.

Commercial humidifiers

Commercial humidifiers are ideal for humidifying large grow spaces, such as warehouses and greenhouses. We have commercial humidifiers capable of humidifying spaces that have a covered area of as much as 1,600 sq. ft.

If you have a large budget and want to go for the best brands, we’d advise Ideal Air, Anden/Aprilaire, or Active Air.
