Roots Organics Formula 707 Growing Mix


Formula 707 is a ready-to-use soil created for fast-growing, heavy feeding plants. It was designed with greater water holding capacity, less perlite and pumice and a coco fiber and compost for a good backbone, but plenty of room for you to amend. Its base is peat moss, coco fiber, compost, perlite and pumice.

The containing bag also doubles as a ready to use pot; Just poke holes in the bottom, cut off the top and plant. Plants may benefit from additional fertilization.

Peat-based soil with coco to air it up. Peat, coco, perlite, and pumice base. Formula 707 has less perlite and more peat than the Original Potting Soil, which means that Formula 707 holds water slightly longer, but you can start feeding it a little faster. Begin feeding your plants 10 to 14 days after transplanting for vigorous fruiting and flowering plants. For exceptional results, feed with high quality nutrients, such as the Roots Organics fertilizer line.

Place Roots Organics Formula 707 in a container with drainage holes. Fill the pot with Formula 707 soil to allow the top of the plant's root ball to be about two inches below the rim of the pot. Insert support if necessary. Water transplant thoroughly, using a light fertilizer solution if desired. When plants are moved from one stage to another, such as from cuttings to pots or when transplanting one size up, reduce fertilizing until you see signs of growth again.
