The resident grow experts at groindoor.com, strongly recommend you use rooting and cloning gels to speed up your cutting and propagation. However, if youre using an aeroponic or hydroponic cloning machine, we strongly recommend, you use a cloning solution as well.
Many growers get confused between a cloning gel and a cloning solution. A cloning and rooting gel is used to seal the clone's cut area and prevent bacteria or bubbles from entering the plant. A cloning gel also provides hormones very efficiently to the cutting, which encourages fast rooting.
A cloning solution, on the other hand, is for use with a cloning machine. A cloning solution is usually mixed with water. When the machine begins to operate, it sprays the water and solution mixture onto the clone, providing more hormones to it. Cloning Solutions can also work with a standard propagation tray.
Our grow experts highly recommend either: Olivia’s Cloning Solution or Rx Green Solutions Life Cloning Solution. Both are from very well-known brands and work perfectly with cloning machines. To use these solutions, all you have to do is mix them with a gallon of water and pour into your cloning machine. If you’re just using a propagation tray instead of a cloning machine, you can just add the mixed solution directly into your tray.
