Description

Everything you need for optimal zone control

When it comes to your climate, you should be in control. And that is exactly what the iPonic Commercial allows you to do. This integrated contactor panel makes it easy to transition from the controllers and thermostats of the past and step boldly into the future where the climate can be finely tuned to your unique specifications.

The Link4 iPonic Controllers come in 3 models:

Commerical Series

The iPonic Commercial is designed for your convenience ? pre-mounted, pre-wired, and pre-tested. Pre-mounted means an easier and cheaper installation process with no need for separate boxes with conduits in between. Pre-wired means it works as soon as you take it out of the box. And pre-tested means we have double and triple checked everything before it even arrives at your facility.

Original Series

The original iPonic hydroponic environmental controller enables growers to control a grow environment with Cloud-based access from any Internet-connected computer or smartphone. Unlike most controllers on the market, the iPonic controller allows you to program all functions together and eliminate multiple controllers for multiple functions. Does NOT come Pre-wired or Pre-mounted.

Alert Series

The iPonic Alert is ideal for the cultivator that is satisfied with their current controls, but wants the extra assurance of push notifications sent to their smart phone in the event anything should go wrong. The iPonic Alert is a cloud-based monitoring and alarm system. With simple plug-and-play functionality, any grower can learn what is going on in their grow room ? from any Internet connected device.

The Link4 iPonic Commercial Series enables growers to control a single or dual zone ? with cloud-access from any Internet-connected computer or smartphone.

The iPonic 614 and iPonic 624 Commercial Series controllers are designed for your convenience:

  • Pre-mounted
  • Pre-wired
  • Pre-tested

Pre-mounted means an easier and cheaper installation process with no need for separate boxes with conduits in between. Pre-wired means it works as soon as you take it out of the box. And pre-tested means we have double and triple checked everything before it even arrives at your facility.

Unlike most controllers on the market, the iPonic Commercial controller allows total flexibility using software-based intelligence. This means that you can program all functions together and eliminate multiple controllers for multiple functions. The iPonic does it all: Fuzzy Logic CO2, light timer, irrigation, temperature, humidity, recycle timers, vent fans, high temperature shut-off, central air conditioning, and heating. You can even add your own custom devices. This also means that you can change devices on the fly and add or delete devices to match the equipment in your grow house in minutes.

Remote Cloud Access

Growers can monitor and change every aspect of the iPonic Commercial from the palm of their hand, using state-of the-art controls that relay secured, encrypted grow house data to the cloud where it is accessible on any Internet-connected device. The secured, encrypted server allows you to monitor and change settings remotely. With a wealth of data at their fingertips, growers are able to grow bigger, more vibrant crops under repeatable processes. No data collected by the iPonic Cloud is shared to a third party. Additionally, any location data we collect is anonymous and cannot be associated with a user account.

Digital Integrated Sensor Modules (DISM)

The iPonic Commercial includes a single Digital Integrated Sensor Module (DISM). The sensor measures temperature, humidity, CO2 and lighting and is connected by a standard 16-foot cable. It is recommended that the sensor is hung in a central location within the grow facility. Ideally, you will want to hang the module near the crop level, close to the center of the controlled environment to get accurate readings. You may want to keep the module away from irrigation emitters, unit heaters and any other type of equipment that may affect the accuracy of the sensor.

Fully Automated Control of the Entire Growth Cycle

The iPonic Commercial allows you to control each device individually with manual settings or fully automatically with all devices working together. Entire growth cycle settings can be programmed and saved on the removable USB thumb drive. This allows you to run custom growth cycles with programmed settings for every device on a week by week basis. These programs can be saved and even shared with other growers.

Privacy and Security

  • Network architecture built to meet the requirements of the most security-sensitive organizations.
  • No data collected by the iPonic Cloud is shared to a third party.
  • User location data collected is anonymous and cannot be associated with a user account.
  • Tor and Anonymity Online Compatible
  • No backdoor access; https secure

Loss Prevention

  • The iPonic Commercial controller protects your grow house investment with SMS text and email that will notify you of a variety of threats, including spikes in temperature, humidity, and CO2.
  • Emergency shut-off guards against power surge and overheating.

Link4 Corporation iPonic 614 Commercial Single Zone Grow Room Controller Questions & Answers

Q: A fan can be an On/Off device or a fan device. What?s the difference?

A: An On/Off device and a Fan device are almost identical. The only difference is that when a Fan device turns on, the CO2 injection process is ?cut off? (disabled). If a fan is configured as an On/Off device (through the advance menu) the CO2 operation is not affected. If the fan is being used to exchange air, the Fan equipment type is preferable. If it is used to just circulate air, use the On/Off equipment type.

Q: What do channels 7 & 8 do? Do they exist?

A: Channels 7 & 8 can be configured to operate just like any other channel. However, it can only control low voltage signal. The output is a ?dry output? (a small relay that closes) that can handle a 24V signal at 1A max. The connection terminal block is inside the unit. You need to run your wires through the white opening on the bottom and to the controller board itself. See the electrical diagram in the manual for the terminal location or here.

Q: What equipment can I plug into the iPonic controller?

A: The iPonic can handle up to 15A (115VAC) only. Any more current than this will cause the circuit breaker to trip. Please read the equipment power name plate or label carefully. Equipment that either has high running current or high power on current should be controlled via external trigger boxes and have the trigger cable plugged into the iPonic controller. Heaters, air conditioners, and lights should not be plugged directly into the iPonic controller.

Q: Is the iPonic unit susceptible to noise from growlight ballasts?

A: Yes. Noisy ballasts combined with poor installation will lead to inaccurate sensor readings and even power resets on the controller itself. The controller has been designed to minimize the interference susceptibility, but proper installation is paramount to a successful experience. Please use these guidelines to minimize noise interference:
- The iPonic controller must get its power from a clean dedicated circuit. This means the power to the controller should not be shared by anything that generates electrical noise (e.g. ballasts, motors, drives, etc.)
- The controller, sensors, and sensor wiring need to be physically separated from any high voltage lines and sources by at least 6 ft.
- If drives are used (or extremely noisy motors) then the power wiring to the motor should be shielded with earth ground.
- Sensor wiring should not be longer than necessary. If extension is required, you must use Link4?s shielded extension wire.

If the erratic behavior disappears when you turn off the lights or motors, this is most likely an interference issue. Keep in mind that the noise source could be motors that are located in another room and are not controlled by the iPonic controller.

Q: How can I be notified when there is an alarm on the iPonic controller?

A:
There is an indicator on the unit itself (home screen, upper left).
It can trigger an output to turn on something such as a light, buzzer, or SensaPhone.
With the optional Communication Module and an Internet connection, it can send you an email or text message to let you know about the alarm.

Q: What happens on the iPonic after a high alarm?

A: Once the iPonic?s high-temperature alarm has been triggered, It will automatically shut off all the lights. The temperature staging will already be at the highest cooling stage. The unit will stay in this condition until the temperature drops back into the normal operation range, at which point the iPonic will resume its normal operation.
